We partner with our clients to meet the needs of their life's journey: wealth management, college, retirement and estate planning, tax management and insurance. Tax Advice and Services
We believe that tax-efficiency is possible within a diversified, growth-oriented investment portfolio. In addition, tax planning is an important part of our overall financial planning process. |
Investment Advice & Management
At Journey Advisory Group, investment management is a core element of our process. With a dedicated investment team and a commitment to providing our clients with thoughtful, tax-sensitive investment solutions, Journey delivers active portfolios of our best ideas. |
Wealth Management
Our organization's roots are steeped in legacy planning and wealth preservation. Through active partnerships with our clients, we build futures, together. |
Risk Management
At the top of our to-do list is wealth preservation. Risk management is integral to our process. We factor in risk holding by holding, and plan by plan. |
Financial Planning for Individuals
Financial planning involves looking at your entire financial picture and how to balance and achieve short, intermediate and long-term financial goals. It helps you understand where you are today and should provide a roadmap to get you to where you want to be. Planning is personalized and specific to you and your situation whether you are saving for a specific goal, like retirement or education, or need comprehensive planning and wealth management for a wide variety of goals and needs throughout lifes different stages. |
Estate Planning & Trusts
Effective estate planning is a critical part to protecting yourself, loved ones, and leaving a legacy after a lifetime of hard work. Taking the time to think about what is important to you, how you want your unused assets and resources distributed, and equally as important, what healthcare decisions you want made on your behalf are all reasons to prioritize your estate plan. Trusts are available to meet a variety of needs and circumstances, it can be overwhelming and confusing to understand what you currently have in place vs what might be appropriate to consider as life, resources and preferences change over time. A Financial Advisor can help create an estate planning checklist for essential documents, coordinate effective estate & legacy planning, discuss & review trust opportunities, efficient bequests to individuals, organizations or communities and ensure financial goals & wishes are met. |
Portfolio Management
Through Individual Portfolio Management Services (IPMS), our firm provides continuous and regular asset management of client funds based on the individual needs of the client. Through personal discussions, goals are discerned and established based on the client's circumstances. During our data-gathering process, we determine the clients individual objectives, time horizons, risk tolerance, tax considerations, and liquidity needs. As appropriate, we may also review and discuss a clients prior investment history, as well as family composition and background. We then develop the client's personal investment guidelines. |
Financial Advice & Consulting
Journey offers other financial consulting as requested by the client. Journey's fee schedule for Financial Planning and Consulting Services is predominately based on an hourly rate. Estimated total fees can be predetermined with the client and the planner. In some cases, a flat fee is quoted to the client. Flat fees are charged for such standardized work as some retirement projections, and some tax planning schedules. Fees for written financial plans range from $500 to $5,000 depending on the complexity of the plan. Fees for consultations are billed at the rate of $200 per hour. Services provided by the administrative staff are billed at $75 per hour. Journey, in its discretion, may choose to waive the financial planning fee. Flat fees for such work as investment policy statements, financial analysis, retirement projections, and tax projections range from $200 to $2,500. |
Retirement Planning
We analyze current strategies and investment plans to help the client achieve his or her retirement goals. |
FAQs |
Do you have a customer satisfaction or refund policy? No. |
What are your qualifications? What is your education background? We have 3 individuals who have completed all education and experience requirements to display the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER" (CFP®) designation. We have 1 who has also completed all education and passed the exam for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER" (CFP®) designation and is completing the experience requirements to display the formal designation. |
How are you compensated? How will I pay for your services? We are compensated in one of two ways depending on how you choose to engage with us. For the majority of clients, we manage their investments and do financial planning for them. In this arrangement, you will pay us a management fee which is a percentage of the total assets that we manage and there will be no additional fee for financial planning. Other clients do not want us to manage their investments and simply want us to provide financial planning services. We are paid a flat fee for this arrangement. The amount of the flat fee depends on the complexity of your situation. 50% of the flat fee is due upfront when we enter into an arrangement and the other 50% is due when the plan is presented. |
If you are going to manage my account, will you obtain my permission every time you buy or sell something? This is not our standard practice. The overwhelming majority of our clients enter into a discretionary investment advisory agreement with us whereby we do not have to obtain client permission to trade in their accounts. If that is something you desire, I would encourage you to express this and we can determine if it makes sense for the firm and the client. |
How many clients do you currently manage? It was really important from day 1 to make sure the ratios of clients under our advisors were the lowest in the industry so we are able to give more time to each and every client because we have the capacity to do so. This is really important from a client service standpoint which can get lost in a large organization. When a client hires and entrusts us to help them manage their finances, financial plan and investments, that is a really big responsibility and something we take really seriously. Per our most recently filed ADV, we currently manage 690 clients. |
